My father has been spending much of his time for the past several years interviewing older residents of the Sleeping Bear Dunes area of Northwestern Michigan, where he lives. He compiles these interviews with copies of their photographs in audio and written form for inclusion in local libraries and historical societies.
When he decided to reproduce these interviews in book form for a wider audience, my father asked me to create a website where he could sell the books and where people could share their own memories and stories relating to the books’ subjects. He wanted to be able to add new books as they are available and for the site to hook into PayPal for payment processing. This is the result: a simple and direct website that is easily expandable and to-the-point.
I worked on the CMS setup, e-commerce, information architecture, template design, XHTML/CSS.
