Skylight Depot is an online retailer of tubular skylights. Prior to starting this direct-to-consumer business, the founder has had many year experience in the production and wholesale distribution of skylights. He wanted a website that was simple to use and inviting for prospective customers, while having a flexible and easy to manage control panel.
We settled on the open-source Magento e-commerce solution for managing both the content and the order fulfillment system. Skylight Depot staff are able to manage day-to-day operations of the website, including receiving and shipping orders, responding to customer questions, and following visitor statistics, one their own.
I designed the entire shopping process to have a clean, bright feeling that anticipates the product itself. Although Skylight Depot is only selling a limited selection of products at the moment there are plans to grow in the very near future, and the website was designed with that flexibility in mind.
I worked on the client-side coding, CMS setup, e-commerce, template design, XHTML/CSS.
